Ford Ranger Tremor

This IS OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE RANGER TREMOR

The is our 2021 Ford Ranger XLT Tremor, we've had it for about a year and a half now and we absolutely love it! We have taken off-roading many times already mostly muddy trails on the beach and but there have been steep and difficult trails and she has managed to get in and get out with minimal problems. It got stuck once and a tight curve going into a steep incline in 4L and rear diff locked it struggled for a while until the tires finally got grip and powered up one of the steepest inclines we've been to.

The Ranger Tremor comes with neat upgrades apart from the base XLT such as Leather interior, Upfitter switches for accessories, raptor-liner esque side steps, FOX 2.0 front coilovers and FOX rear reservoir shocks that ride very nice, 17-inch Raptor style wheels, and an optional vinyl livery that ours has. Apart from those upgrades it has everything else the Ranger FX4 package has; skid plates, electronic transfer case, multi-terrain management and locking rear differential.

PROS and CONS

This truck is mainly pros for example;

- 2.3L turbocharged four cylinder that makes very good power and with a quick Ford Performance tune and Air Intake will be even more powerful

-10-speed auto transmission that calls for very good towing capacity and the ride experience feels much better than any other mid-size truck in the market.

-Very comfortable size for on and off-road drivability, fits mostly anywhere in the city and fits better in tight trails

-Interior comfort, very comfortable front steering but wouldn't recommend seating an over 6-foot passenger in the rear for long trips

-Pricing, in the Puerto Rico market you can find brand new Rangers cheaper than Tacomas, its the cheapest mid-size truck in this PR market. Comparing the Tremor with Tacomas TRD PRO you'll see the TRD PROS in the $60k range but the Tremors are around the $47k range (XLT).

Now the cons

-Storage space is very limited in comparison to the Tacoma that has under the rear seating as storage as the Ranger has very limited space under the rear seating. Fits a small ratchet straps bag and maybe a small tool kit. Other than the rear seat any other storage space would be the center console, glove box and door pockets but if you store a lot of stuff in your truck such as I do (tools, surf wax, knives and water bottles) you'll be using all of the space.

-Truck bed electricity, the Ranger doesn't have an outlet in the truck bed unlike its big brother, the F150, and its competitors in the market including the Tacoma that has an outlet with Inverter capabilities.

-Truck bed lighting, the truck only has the rear top brake light for the bed, I would've liked at least 2 Leds from the factory but there are very good after-market option for the Truck.

Overall Rating: 8/10, great truck, great pricing and very very good performance
